Katsu is about to get revamped in Outsiders, leaving many players in the limbo of not knowing what to buy or even overbuying certain pieces. In today’s video, we go over three ways to play Katsu in Outsiders alongside a list of cards you might want to pick up before the new set is released. The most important aspect is to choose for yourself if you want to go the Crouching Tiger, Defence Reaction, or value route. Each of these routes has a distinct set of cards to pick up, and you will simultaneously know which to skip for the time being. If you are uncertain and want to buy everything that could potentially find its way into a Katsu deck can be found in my Fabrary “deck list” below, I’ve separated the mainboard “must have” cards and the sideboard/potential techs for you. Regardless, I’ll cover what I believe to be the best Katsu deck list in the first week after Outsiders releases. I’m curious to see if we will get new support to make me consider forfeiting some long-term staples like Snatch or Enlightened Strike!
